Storming The Line: WWI Western Front is a game that takes you back to re-live the great war, its atmosphere and hardships. Follow The Great War, WW1, progress:
Start from the "bright" beginnings and high hopes of a quick victory before Christmas and see the nostalgia of heroic cavalry charges from the Napoleonic Era fade away as it meets the realities of the industrial age of WW1.
From the high hopes during The Battle of the Frontiers to the shortcomings of the Entente during The Great Retreat, follow the French Armies and the BEF during their retreat from "Mons" and "Charleroi" to "Le Cateau" and to the outskirts of "Paris" itself.
Witness the stagnation of Schlieffen Plan at the 1st Battle of the Marne as you lead a French unit to retake the village of "Varreddes" near "Meaux" and help in preventing an early German victory at WW1.

See the war progress from movement to trench warfare, the trenches that was first used to stop the allied counterattack at the 1st Battle of the Aisne River soon turned into a grim reality of the great war just after "The Race to the Sea" and until the bitter end of WW1.

Lead the troops of Britain, France or The German Empire to victory in the First World War, fight your way through fierce battles full of artillery barrages, shrapnel shells, trench assaults and gas attacks.

Make use of all the weapons of WW1 at your disposal, use:
- MGs, one of the most feared WW1 weapons, to defend trenches.
- Infantry waves to assault enemy lines.
- Snipers to take out enemy Machine Gun Nests.
- Officers to enhance troops performance and boost their morale, the grim reality of WW1 was too much on the men's morale.
- Assault troops to break through well defended sectors, and indispensable unit during trench warfare.
- HE artillery shells to hit entrenched enemies, Shrapnel shells to destroy slightly or totally unprotected formation or use Gas shells if nothing else is working!
- WHAT? THE ENEMY IS STILL HERE?!!!! Then you can only use Flamethrowers to clear those wicked trenches! WHO INVENTED THIS TRENCH WARFARE!!!
